Health at Work Advisers

Background

Our Health at Work Advisers joined the Better Health at Work team in January 2005. We provide occupational health advice to clients who may not have easy access to such services at their place of work.

We currently provide support and advice to employees and small/medium sized businesses within the Kirklees area.

If you feel your work is affecting your health, we can work together to seek solutions and help empower you to make necessary changes.

We also now have the capacity to work together with GP practices, other health professionals and with agencies such as Jobcentre Plus to promote BETTER HEALTH AT WORK.

We can provide information on many conditions affecting work place health including the following:

Back pain

Neck pain

Upper limb disorder

Stress

Dermatitis

Ill health retirement

Smoking

Violence at work

Vocational rehabilitation

Headaches and eye strain

Drug and alcohol misuse

Chronic fatigue syndrome
     

Occupational asthma
